Caleb Joseph Odhiambo
Mr. Caleb Joseph Odhiambo serves as the chairperson of board of trustees of Disability Rights & Empowerment Trust. He leads the Board and ensures its overall effectiveness in discharging its responsibilities; Sets the tone at the top, promote ethical behavior, transparency, and a culture of constructive deliberations. He also ensures the Board has the right mix of skills, independence and that all trustees contribute effectively.
Mr. Caleb is a community worker with passion in children, youth, disabilities and refugee related programs. He has multiple expertise in project planning and management, donor relations, community engagement, mentorship, coaching and budgeting.
Mr. Caleb has gained over 20 years of practical experience in community work and project activities. Currently, he works serves at Uwezo Lifeskills as a counselor and trainer. Previously, Mr. Caleb has worked at Seed Foundation-Iraq as a senior protection manager, Save The Children- Uganda as child protection officer, Save The Children-Kenya, HIAS Refuges Trust of Kenya and GOAL Irelan - Kenya. Mr. Caleb also sit in the board Kenya Society of care leavers.
Mr. Caleb holds Bachelors of Art Degree in Community Development from Daystar University, and Higher Diploma in counseling from Kenya Association of Professional Counselors.
