Disability is NOT a tragedy, failing to give ON-TIME access to Health and Rehabilitation is the tragedy
DRET's vision of success entails a society that is just and inclusive. This is only possible when; stakeholders become strategic, intentional and consistence in disability mainstreaming, Persons with Disabilities, their families and Organizations of/for PWDs challenge the structural and systemic barriers that hinder the realization of the human rights of PWDs. To realize this, DRET works effectively and impactfully to ensure that:
- The Constitution and legislative frameworks on disability Rights are fully implemented.
- PWDs, their families and the citizenry are empowered for independence, promote and defend the rights of PWDs.
- PWDs Rights and Participation becomes part of the counties’ ‘priority agenda.
- The human rights violations, stigma and exclusion of PWDs and their families significantly declined.
- Remove barriers and build inclusive communities where young persons with disabilities thrive.
- DRET is well managed to effectively realize this strategy.
